In June, I received a diagnosis that changed the course of my life: endometrial cancer. The initial medical report classified my condition as high risk, and urgent surgery was advised. In that moment, fear and uncertainty weighed heavily on my heart. Yet, even in the midst of that trial, I chose to anchor my soul in faith and trust in God’s sovereign hand.
Before I entered the procedure room, I offered a quiet prayer: “God, if You are with me, please show me.” Shortly afterwards, a surgeon who was not part of my original medical team came in and introduced himself. His name was Dr Emmanuel.
“Emmanuel” means “God with us.”
That moment became a profound reminder that I was never alone. God was present in every fearful thought, every uncertain moment, and every step of the journey. As Scripture assures us in Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
Following the surgery, the tumour was found to be localised. Further testing revealed a favourable genetic mutation, present in only about 5 to 10% of endometrial cancer patients. By God’s grace, my diagnosis was reclassified from high risk to low risk, with a final staging of Stage 1A. I did not require chemotherapy, radiation, or any further treatment.
Today, I am deeply thankful to share that I am cancer-free.
I offer all praise and glory to God for His mercy, healing, and unwavering faithfulness. I am also profoundly grateful to my husband, family, friends, pastors, church leaders, cell group, and music team for standing with me through your prayers, love, encouragement, and support. Your faithfulness reflected God’s care in tangible ways, and I am humbled by your presence in my life.
To anyone walking through a difficult or uncertain season, I encourage you: do not lose hope. Though we may not see the entire path ahead, we can trust the One who walks beside us. God may not reveal the whole journey at once, but He provides strength and grace for each step.
From high risk to hope, from uncertainty to faith—God is good.
