Job Vacancies – Senior Activity Centre

Methodist Welfare Services, in partnership with Ang Mo Kio Methodist Church (TRAC) is planning for a new Senior Activity Centre (SAC) at Teck Ghee in Ang Mo Kio.

Applications are invited for the following positions:-

  1. Centre Supervisor
  2. Programme Assistant

For Position 1 (Centre Supervisor)
the successful candidate will oversee the day to day running of the Centre.

A. Job Scope & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure an efficient administration of the Centre, incl. maintenance of admin system, control and monitoring of financial & manpower resources.
  2. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  3. Supervise, guide and identify suitable training for staff in the running of the Centre.
  4. Management and co-ordination of volunteers at the Centre

B. Requirements:

  1. Compassion with a heart to serve, care and liaise with the elderly.
  2. A team leader with good interpersonal & communications skills.
  3. Meticulous, independent and able to lead a team.
  4. Those with GCE A level/Diploma, must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in social service sector.
  5. Interested candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Additional knowledge in other relevant office software, accounting &/or financial reporting will be an advantage.

For Position 2 (Programme Assistant)
the successful candidate will assist the Centre Supervisor in the day to day running of the Centre.

C. Job Scope & Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Supervisor in planning & coordinating programmes and activities.
  2. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  3. Assist with management and co-ordination of volunteers at the Centre.
  4. Maintain, teach & demonstrate use of gym equipment and first aid.
  5. Monitor, evaluate & recommend programme changes and adjustments.

D. Requirements:

  1. Compassion with a heart to serve, care and liaise with the elderly.
  2. A team player with good interpersonal & communications skills.
  3. Meticulous, independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
  4. Work with volunteers from the Churches and Community.
  5. GCE O level/Diploma, preferably with social service background.
