WSCS & FAMILY LIFE MINISTRY – WILL WRITING
Discussing ‘taboo’ topics like a will and inheritance can be uncomfortable. However, writing a will is essential as it makes our wishes known and things are not left to chance. Join us online (via Zoom) to understand the importance of having a will in place, and learn about the following:
● Glossary of terms in a will
● Singapore’s probate process
● Intestate succession act of distribution
● How to write a will and who needs one?
● What happens after you write a will?
Speaker: Ms. Shin Chow, CEO of PremierWills – A lawyer by training, Shin heads PremierWills, a specialist in Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), Advance Medical Directive (AMD) and wills. With more than 18 years of experience in will and estate planning, Shin has conducted numerous workshops on these subjects with organisations such as Peoples’ Association, government bodies, financial institutions, various corporate companies, including religious organisations. Sharing her personal experience when her dad passed without a will, she hopes to get as many people as possible prepared for when one’s journey comes to an end.
