BAPTISM & MEMBERSHIP CLASS (BMC) 2/2010
If you’re above 16 years old and have been worshipping regularly at one of our worship services over the past 6 months, we invite you to consider joining us as a member of our Church.
Details are as follows:-
a. Lessons in AMKMC Chapel 1 @ 2pm - 4pm (Sundays) (10 Sessions)
8, 15, 22, 29 Aug ; 5, 12, 19, 26 Sep ; 10, 17 Oct
b. Full Day Retreat
23 Oct 10 (Sat) 9am - 5pm
c. Baptism Service
26 Oct 10 (Tue) 8pm - 9pm
d. Confirmation Service
14 Nov 10 (Sun) respective worship services.
Registration is compulsory for all who are seeking:-
a) Baptism only - to be baptised only
b) Membership (via Baptism) - to be baptised & confirmed in the faith
c) Membership (via Transfer) - to transfer membership from another Church and be confirmed in the faith.
Please obtain the BMC Registration Form from the Information Counter after service or download the registration form below.
Closing Date for Registration:- 25 July 2010.
Becoming a member of AMKMC
To be a member of the church, we require and encourage everyone to worship with us for at least 6 months before considering membership at AMKMC. The reason for such a rule is to allow you time to sieve out any emotional responses and to pray whether this is indeed the church that the Lord is calling you to serve and be committed to.
The following are more information about the membership process in our Church.

A)For transfer of membership from another Methodist church to Ang Mo Kio Methodist Church.

1.Wait for the next Church Announcement on the commencement of the Baptism and Membership Course. At present, we hold our BMC twice a year, one in the first half of the year and the next, the second half of the year.

2.Once the announcement is made, please obtain the registration form from our information desk. Complete the form and submit it to the Church Office.

3.You will need to obtain a letter of transfer from your previous church, acknowledged and sign by the pastor-in-charge. The letter is to be submitted along with your registration form or the next soonest opportunity.

4.Please note that the duration of the BMC is 10 weekly sessions plus a full day retreat, however, for transfer cases from another Methodist Church, we only require the candidate to attend the first session and the full day retreat.

B)For candidates from non Methodist Churches, as well as candidates with no previous Church membership, the following are the requirements.

2.Once the announcement is made, kindly obtained the registration form from our information desk. Complete the form and submit it to the Church Office.

3.If you are members of another Church, you will need to obtain a letter of transfer from your previous church, acknowledged and sign by the pastor-in-charge.

4.Candidates who have completed all 10 sessions plus the one full day retreat of the BMC will then be baptized (if you have not be baptized) and confirmed for Church Membership at AMKMC.
