AMKMC (TRAC) BUDGET (1 AUG 10 TO 31 JUL 11)
As the Church approaches the close of the financial year ending 31 Jul 10, we praise God for His grace & provisions over the past year. The total projected church expense budget for the coming financial year from 1 Aug 10 to 31 Jul 11 is estimated to be $2.1 million as compared to $1.9 million for 2009/2010 - up 12%. This budget funds the on-going programs & activities of the Church, and the upkeep and maintenance of its support infrastructure. Our budget is primarily funded through pledges and offerings received every Sunday at our worship services. Pledge Letters & Pledge Cards are obtainable from our ushers or at the Information Counter on Sundays.
PLEDGE UPDATE & PLEDGE CARDS
Targeted Budget (Financial Year 2010-2011):- $2,102,230.00
Targeted Pledges (Financial Year 2010-2011):- $1,505,000.00
Total Pledges Received (as at 4 Jul 10):- $1,461,450.00
Number of Persons Pledging:- 450
Pledging is planned giving. It is part of the accepted responsibility of a committed member. We want to thank those who have pledged towards the Church and also a gentle reminder to those who have not pledged, you can either send in your Pledge Card to the Church office or drop it into the offering bag during the offertory time. Those who need the Pledge Card may obtain it from our ushers or our tract rack located near the entrance of the Sanctuary.
USHERS NEEDED URGENTLY
Ushers for all our Church services are urgently required, especially at the 5.00pm Service. If you are able to offer your service, please volunteer by calling the Church office. Training will be provided.
HELP NEEDED FOR 10.30AM SERVICE TRANSPORT SUPPORT
We are looking for able volunteers to assist us in transporting bulletins and materials to the 10.30am AMK Hub worship service. This is to supplement a current pool of under-resourced team. If you drive and are physically able, we hope that you can help serve in this ministry.
Here’s how it works - Each week, the church office will prepare a luggage specifically packed for the 10.30am service by Friday evening. If you are scheduled to serve on that week, all you need to do is to pick up the luggage anytime on Saturday/ Sunday morning and deliver to AMK Hub Level 4, Cathay Hall 5 on Sunday between 9.00am to 10.00am.
The duty ushers at AMK Hub will take over from there. If you can serve in this ministry, or have any queries about this, please contact PTMer Mr Adrian Ng at adrian.ng@amkmc.org.sg or call or SMS him @ 9101 8642.

TEACHING TRAINING SESSION BY DR DAVID GEISLER
ON EVANGELISM AND APOLOGETICS
“CONVERSATION THAT CONNECT”
Dr David Geisler graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and has been involved in Church and para-Church College Ministry for over 20 years. In 1994, he was hired by the graduate branch of Campus Crusade for Christ to help develop a national pilot program at U.T. Austin to reach skeptical graduate students. What he discovered is that there is a real need for Christian ministries to understand how to do process evangelism, especially with those more skeptically minded. As a result, in year 2000 he started Meekness and Truth Ministries. In 2002, in cooperation with his team he developed a new pre-evangelism paradim that he has taught on College campuses throughout the US and also in the East with College ministries, churches, seminaries, and mission organisations. In 2009, he co-authored a book with his father, Christian Apologists, Norman Geisler, entitled Conversational Evangelism : How To Listen and Speak So You May Be Heard.

NEXT SERMON SERIES
Watch out For Our Next Sermon Series On The Book Of Joshua (Starting 1 August 2010)
Most Christians believe that God is all-powerful and that He can free us from slavery to sin and emotional distress. If that is true, then why do we so often live in inferiority and in fear of defeat? Did God promise us too much? We can learn from the life of Joshua about seeing the promises of God fulfilled. Joshua focused on God, not circumstances, and was not paralyzed by the fear of enemies who looked on him as a grasshopper. So come and join us in this series of 12 sermons preached by our three pastors starting 1 August 2010 where we will learn the following:-
>Identify the pitfalls of spiritual growth
>Capture territory from Satan
>Use the captured territory for the glory of God
>Take a giant step toward spiritual maturity
>Discover that God is all-powerful and worthy of our trust
>Conquer our fear of failure and defeat.
